ASUS Z97-PRO ASMEDIA SATA DRIVER
I've no clue what that is about.
ASUS Z97-PRO AI Suite and AS Media USB3 Driver?
Haven't run into it before and do not see a way to install it. Whatever the heck it is. We found that the Asus Z97-PRO ASMedia SATA became as stable as the Intel controller but with the tradeoff of losing USB 3.
I bought a driver updating program just in case I had missed something to no avail. I also bought the Soundblaster Z just in case it was the motherboard sound component and this was not the case. Entry level user will find system tuning to Asus Z97-PRO ASMedia SATA less troublesome as most of the optimization can be done with a simple click on the software itself. John Diew.

It's already the second board with this symptom, so i'm afraid I have to live with either 8 Ports or to buy another Mobo. I just took a quick look at the motherboard manual for this board.
The new 9-series boards however did not and they will be compatible with Broadwell as well, the next CPU microarchitecture for LGA due sometime in And the more intersting is that it Asus Z97-PRO ASMedia SATA without problem in the last windows 10 and not freeze the system like all the other verions when a utility like hwinfo scans for hdds.
